Loreto and Beth are both professional artists and members of the British Actors Union, Equity. They have been working together since 2005 and Junk Shop was born out of their passion for the arts and for the young people in this area. With their diverse professional experience of theatre and young people, they are totally committed to empowering and enabling young people who share their interest and enthusiasm in all aspects of theatre and performance. Both are Arts Award Advisors and fully CRB checked.

Loreto Murray BA Hons

Loreto trained at Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama and has performed as an actor/musician in most major theatres across the UK and Ireland, including singing alongside Willy Russell, Tim Firth and Jonathan Pryce.   TV credits include Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Cold Blood and a Morrisons Advert .  She recently played 'Cathy' in the award winning film WEEKEND and has been in numerous corporate dvds.  Loreto presented 'Together'  for BBC Schools Radio for 10 years and has extensive experience of recording both speech and music. Loreto has worked extensively as a workshop leader nationwide; including commissions from the NHS and partner organisations to work with vulnerable adults and regular projects for both primary and secondary schools.

Beth Shouler BA Hons, MA (Distinction), ALCM

Beth started out in Nottingham Youth Theatre (or C'Net as it was back then!). Since then she has gained a Masters Degree, with distinction, from Leeds University and worked professionally as a director, actor, drama practitioner and youth theatre director.  She has facilitated workshops abroad in Jordan and Jamaica working with vulnerable young people.  Beth has been an assistant director at Nottingham Playhouse, been involved as an actor and assistant director for NEAT11, and works with Theatre Writing Partnership (the East Midlands theatre writing development agency).  She took a group of young people to Bad Hersfeld to take part in a collaborative Theatre project with youth theatres from Croatia, Germany, Israel and Finland with the European Theatre Convention.  She is Youth Theatre Director for the Lakeside Theatre and an Associate Youth Theatre Director for Nottingham Playhouse.  She is beginning to venture into film having come runner up in 'Enter the Pitch' film competition.

We are able to create bespoke creative projects and performances, one-to-one tuition, corporate roleplay, creative residencies with schools or organisations, self confidence training, specialist workshops on theatre practitioners for GCSE and A-Level courses and script development.
